The Torti family wanted flexibility. They needed space for a home office and guest suite now but wanted the ability to convert to a rental ADU later without major renovation.
We designed a 720 sq ft addition with all the infrastructure needed for ADU conversion: separate HVAC zone, rough plumbing for a kitchen, dedicated electrical panel, and a private entrance that was currently used as a side door. Today it's a master suite plus home office. In ten years it becomes a rental.
