What the Client
Brought to Us.

The Olson home had an attached three car garage. Two bays were used, one was storage. They wanted to convert that third bay into a rental unit without making it feel like a converted garage.

02 · The Solution

How We Solved It.

We designed a 480 sq ft internal ADU that looks and feels like purpose built living space. Vaulted ceiling, large egress windows on two sides, kitchenette along the back wall, and a full bathroom. No remaining evidence of the space's former life as a garage.

03 · The Outcome

What Happened.

Low construction cost because the foundation, slab, and roof already existed. Rents at $1,600 per month. Olson's got their main garage space unchanged for their two cars.
